Mission Education is a secular and non-profit NGO dedicated to supporting
education in Lebanon.
We are a formally registered association in Lebanon under no. 692
Following the Beirut port explosion on August 4th, 2020, we set our mission of raising up Lebanese youth from the aftermath of the disaster through education. Mission Education brought together Lebanese professionals from all backgrounds who are committed to preserving Lebanon’s strong history of education.
We envision a Lebanon where students from all backgrounds have access to high quality education and can dream of a better future.
We believe that education is a basic human right and should be accessible to all individuals, especially the most vulnerable. We focus on the human side of education: the students and teachers themselves, helping provide them with what they need, ensuring that both students and educators are able to thrive and grow in a nurturing learning environment.
Nation building begins with each child and youth, by nurturing them and teaching them the values that make them valuable members of society. Mission Education strives to leverage its network of professionals in Lebanon and abroad to spread cultural values, civic responsibility, solidarity and a sense of belonging to Lebanon.
Mission Education consists of a group of professionals determined to take action on the ground in Lebanon and make a real difference in the lives of students and teachers across the country. We accept the local challenges and work around them by finding ways to make projects happen, while working to improve the system.

We reach the most marginalized children in Lebanon by working with schools located on all the Lebanese territory and most particularly in rural and economically vulnerable areas. Given the ongoing financial crisis in the country, we ensure that these children can continue their education by supporting their families with their tuition fees. On another level, we support teachers financially and, in turn, minimize the teacher “brain drain” of the educational sector, keeping more teachers in Lebanon.
Our work as an NGO is on the ground: planning, organizing and bringing our support of the educational sector to fruition. We work with respect, transparency and cultivate solidarity, trust and a sense of equity in our actions and relationships with all stakeholders and partners.
We focus on funding students’ school tuitions for the most vulnerable and ask the schools to direct this money towards teachers’ salaries and transportation, as part of our commitment to the human element of education.
